Hi, I'm Lauren, owner of Helping Hand Pet Services.
I started the business in May 2015 when I moved to Mid Sussex following a busy career in hospitality in London. Having grown up in rural Somerset I craved a return to the rural life and have always wanted to work hands on with animals. My fiance and I currently have a very sociable and energetic Sprocker Spaniel and a lovely tabby cat.
I studied psychology at Uni and have always been interested in animal behaviour and learning, which was rekindled when I studied Canine Training and Behaviour at Plumpton College and Dog Training Theory with the Guild Of Dog Trainers. I'm now hoping to start the next, advanced level dog training course. I also volunteered for a time at the Cats Protection in an adoption centre and was fortunate enough to attend several training courses in my time there. I'm also a member of the RSPCA, Sussex Wildlife Trust, Woodland Trust and National Trust, wholeheartedly supporting nature and animal welfare.
I pride myself in providing a personal service and really getting to know both pets and their owners. The animals in my care become a part of my family and I care for them as if they were my own.
As well as my training courses you can be reassured that I am fully insured, DBS checked, canine first aid trained and I have excellent references from past and current clients.
